GRACEnotz Retreat with Robert Hitz at Bon Secours Spiritual Center
GRACEnotz is a time for Healing, Transformation and Creativity bringing together healing through our personal stories of "peak experiences", pracitices for mindfullness and musical/artistic experiences to enhance our humanity. We will take ourselves through a series of five reflections on Gratitude, Reverence, Awe, Connection and Enthusiasm. I will take the groups stories and create soundscapes, personal musical compositions, based on these stories and reflections. We will also share our creative talents in journaling and experiences in nature. Musical experience and ability not required.

Alleluia—Africa!
This is the first piece in a large scale production with the University Singers of George Mason University.

Alleluia - Africa is the first section of a large scale Alleluia that uses a central melody for the Alleluia and various indigenous and religious traditions in their hymns of praise.
This work emphasizes the universal aspect of praise that lies beyond religious and social differences. The text for this segment is drawn from an Afro-Cuban praise song and it's accompanying rhythm "Iyesa".

I am excited to be presenting my first interactive concert of music and mindfulness built on the qualities of G.R.A.C.E. at the Baltimore Yoga Village. It is a program where we will create music and stories around the themes of Gratitude, Respect, Appreciation, Cooperation and Enthusiasm. The audience creates the stories - I create the music. A powerful and fun way to explore a process for personal and community development with personal insights into your own views. While it will be held at a sacred Yoga space no Yoga experience is necessary - open to all - including children.
