River of Life, like most journeys and rivers, is an evolving process - a work in progress. Even now that it is complete and a snapshot image in place, it continues to grow as you the listeners grow, and your experience of it will be transformed as your own lives change.
Music is special in the art forms in that it awakens more deeply unspoken feelings, spreads itself more intuitively in us, and that it occurs in "real time" as it is experienced again and again.
Our life's journey, folding and rolling with those around us, transforms us as we go. Molding us into new creations each step of the way - what we pick up, what we lay down - all contributes to the waters we share. Each day flows into the next with its sediment of meaning - who we are, who we strive to be.
Music is the river in sound, and we, creators and listeners, are all works in progress - our lives the continued improvisation. We can see it from above or see it from the shore, but we must enter to know it. May you enter that "music place" beyond the sound, and be more aware of your own river and its waters. By sharing in my music, we join in the river. May it bless you on your journey.
